I was recently asked what is the secret to the success of our law firm. I answered in short fashion: “Two words…Golden Rule.” That is, one of our primary operating procedures around here is we’ll always treat you the way we’d want to be treated. Just as simple as that.
This is nothing new. Jesus included it as His lynchpin principle in the Sermon on the Mount. Think of others first. Be selfless, not selfish, and everything will work out for the greater good.
So, when we started our law firm 19 years ago, we set out to establish how we would operate our business. People first. Practice the virtues of wisdom, balance, justice and courage. Then we adopted the common sense of Proverbs 22:1…”A good reputation and respect are worth more than silver or gold.”
We crafted our mission statement to reflect our values: “To honor Christ by providing a safe haven for justice and service through the practice of law.” It is framed on my office wall.
We know folks would rather see a sermon any day than hear one.
So, if you visit our office, we hope you’ll experience just what our purpose is: To treat you with honor, dignity and respect.
Just like we’d want to be treated.
