“For those who may not know me well, I want to introduce myself…

On May 15th, 2000, I accepted my father’s generous offer to start my own law firm in the space he leased near Weisgarber Road in Knoxville, Tennessee. He’d recently relinquished the warehouse building and was willing to let me use it to start on a new career path.

To some degree of trepidation, I accepted and opened my very own firm soon after.

Carrying no more than 30 cases or so with me, I set out to establish a new firm where I could call the shots and ensure my clients receive the kind of care they deserve in times of need. Working with other firms has been a necessary step in my career path, but branching out into my own business was the right move for me and my community. I felt I could help in an important way— by being on my clients’ side and defending their legal rights.

I established an eponymous firm (as many in the industry do) with one guiding principle and purpose that I’ve lived and practiced law by for 40 years now: ‘to honor Christ by providing a safe haven for justice and service through the practice of law.’

Over a twenty year period, any business is going to make mistakes. We have always tried to remember that it happens, and that we need to handle situations in a transparent, ethical way. Operating under that belief has been like a guiding light for our firm. Our client wins are high and our Faith is strong.

With this mentality on business and life, our team chose to live and operate by ‘The Golden Rule.’ Under this purpose, we ultimately pledged to do only unto others as we would have done unto ourselves. To always choose the ‘harder right’ over an ‘easier wrong.’

Today, I’m elated and thankful to say that we’ve grown from dozens to hundreds of cases and have become a notable firm in our beloved region. What was once a one-man operation is now a fifteen-person firm with a nearly perfect 5-star Google rating (a big deal for any business owner in today’s digital society).

It’s important to me that those in the East Tennessee community know how humbled and grateful we are for the role we play. I can’t believe it’s been 20 years. Can’t wait for 20 more!

From myself, Matt, and the entire G3 Help Me legal team, we look forward to doing better and better the longer we serve you. Thank you for allowing us to win for you in the past. Here’s to the future!
